Description

A moist and tender Bundt cake with a golden crust and a fine crumb. This versatile cake can be flavored in many ways, perfect for celebrations or everyday desserts.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt

  • ½ cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-cup Bundt pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and sour cream/milk mixture to the creamed butter, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  6. Pour batter evenly into prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.

  7. Bake 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  8. Let cake cool in pan 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
