Ingredients

2½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon instant yeast

¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg
For Cinnamon Sugar:

½ cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.

Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg to dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. Knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Punch down dough and turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide dough into 12 equal portions.

Roll each portion into a 10-inch rope. Tie into a loose knot and place on prepared baking sheets.

Let knots rise for 20-30 minutes until puffy.

Brush knots with melted butter, then sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.

Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
