Description

Monkey Bread is a sweet, sticky, pull-apart pastry made from soft dough pieces coated in cinnamon sugar and baked together. It’s perfect for sharing, often enjoyed as a breakfast treat or dessert. The gooey caramelized coating combined with tender, buttery dough creates an irresistible combination loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (about 7.5 oz each)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

  • Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan thoroughly.

  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters. In a large bag or bowl, toss dough pieces with granulated sugar and cinnamon until coated.

  3. Layer half the sugared dough pieces in the bundt pan, sprinkle with half the chopped nuts if using.

  4. Layer remaining sugared dough and nuts on top.

  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat until bubbling. Pour mixture evenly over dough in bundt pan.

  6. Bake 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

  7. Let cool 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Pull apart to serve.
