Ingredients
2 tbsp instant coffee granules
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp hot water
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, chilled)
4–5 ice cubes
Instructions
Combine coffee and sugar in a heatproof bowl.
Add hot water (1 splash per tbsp coffee).
Whip with a handheld mixer or whisk until stiff peaks form (3–5 minutes).
Pour chilled milk into a glass, add ice, and gently layer whipped coffee on top.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Use a hand mixer for easier whipping; substitute half-and-half or espresso shots for richer flavor.
Adjust sugar to taste (add more hot water if too dry to whip).
Non-dairy milks like oat or almond work well; refrigerate for optimal cold contrast.
