Description

Fajita Marinade is a zesty, citrusy blend of lime juice, oil, and spices that tenderizes and infuses chicken, beef, or shrimp with vibrant Mexican-inspired flavors. Using this marinade adds a fresh, smoky, and slightly spicy kick to fajitas or grilled meats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)

  • ⅓ cup olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano (preferably Mexican oregano)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well combined.

  2. Pour marinade over meat or shrimp in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.

  3. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2-4 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor and tenderness.

  4. Remove from marinade and grill, sauté, or cook fajitas as desired.
